Practice fire safety this summer

As the weather warms up and fire season approaches, it’s important to remember the ways to keep our community safe, know the places to go for more information, and how to prepare for the summer months.

If you need more information about fires and fire safety, the Country Fire Authority (CFA) is the best place to look: https://www.cfa.vic.gov.au/home

If you need further information and advice on fires, and you’d prefer to speak to someone on the phone, you can contact the CFA’s VicEmergency Hotline on 1800 226 226. If English is not your first language, the CFA also has a translating and interpreting service that you can contact on 131 450.

You can also find more information about these services at: https://www.cfa.vic.gov.au/contact/vicemergency-hotline/

The Truganina Fire Brigade also has a number of resources on its website, including helpful videos and information, which can be accessed at: https://truganinafb.org.au/

The maintenance team at Elements is currently undertaking clean-up works, where it is able to do so. If there are any neighbouring lots that are overgrown and cause for concern, unfortunately the Elements team is not able to enter these lots, as these are privately owned land holdings that have been transferred to the purchaser. This includes empty lots that have not yet been built on.

In this case please call the Council who may be able to assist on (03) 9742 0777.

Most importantly, in case of emergency always dial 000.
